Creative Capital Management Investments LLC (CCMI), a fee-only advisory firm based in San Diego, specializes in providing highly personalized and proactive financial planning and investment management services to business owners, professionals, individuals, and families.
When CCMI came to us for a website update, the firm knew it was time to streamline its branding. Its office space had recently been redesigned, and its goal was to ensure its digital client experience matched the physical experience.
The team at Out and About Communications did an entire site overhaul, making it simpler and easier for users to navigate and learn more about CCMI’s services. We also took fresh photos of the team and its workspace to use throughout the site, including in the headers. Using images of the real-life team looks professional, and conveys a sense of approachability and trust—plus websites with non-stock photos get 90 percent more engagement.
When it comes to building websites, we create custom solutions to meet each client’s unique needs. We never use templates or “off-the-shelf” themes, and every site is responsive and mobile-friendly, so users can easily move through each page and find information quickly.
We refreshed the Homepage with key information and gave it a facelift while also speaking directly to CCMI’s target markets. We also added a new section in the navigation, “Who we serve” that includes the four types of people the firm has identified as its target market:
- Business owners and executives
- Professionals and growing families
- Women working through a life-changing event
- Those approaching requirement and recently retired
Each of these sections now has its own dedicated page, outlining what it looks like to work with CCMI for each demographic.
The Services page was designed for increased engagement, to create the sense that CCMI is communicative, personable, and easily contactable. It was simplified into two sections: financial planning and investment services—giving users two paths to explore. Fee sections were added, so pricing is clear. This lets potential clients know the firm is professional and transparent.
The charts throughout these sections were also redesigned to be more interactive and easier to read.
The About page was completely reimagined with a new team picture, visual story timeline, and easy-to-read values with icons.
We know it takes time to build trust in the financial services space. That’s why we included new headshots for every team member that lead to profile pages including a bio, video, and fun photos—giving the site a more personable feel.
Having the team photo and individual headshots allows CCMI to better tell its brand story and lets prospects see if they are aligned with the firm’s values.
We also made the CCMI Blog page more inviting to read. All the blogs were migrated to the new site and placed in a more visually appealing format. Topics were also added to the top sub-navigation to make key information easier to search.
Overall, CCMI’s new website helps the firm better articulate its vision, mission, and values and helps it speak more clearly to its target market. Each page offers more straightforward information about its services and matches its updated brand look. The new design also encourages more user engagement and will likely lead to more leads and an increase in relevant potential clients whose visions align with the firm’s.
